Ankona Capital Raises $129 Million In Funding Round

(MT Newswires) -- Ankona Capital has raised $129 million in a funding round, the company said Wednesday.

Funding will be deployed in early growth-stage business-to-business software companies. Ankona has already invested funds in employee reward platform Bonusly, medical records company Alleva, healthcare revenue platform Rivet, and audience measurement company VideoAmp.

"Ankona has already invested around $30 million out of the new fund," a spokesperson for Ankona told MT Newswires. "They've got several standouts when it comes to their larger investments including VideoAmp which received investments from the first and second fund, Soci, Canopy, and Cordial."

The venture firm based in Newport Beach, California, typically invests $5 million to $15 million into early growth-stage software companies with $5 million to $15 million in recurring revenue for a minority share.

Ankona's inaugural fund closed in 2021 at $66 million, above its $50 million target.
