The MT Newswires MCP server is available as a hosted remote server. Connect
it to any MCP-compatible client in a few steps.
Getting Connected
Connecting Claude works for both the Desktop app and the web client.
- Navigate to the Customize Connectors page
- Select the + icon near the Connectors
- Choose Browse Connectors
- Search for "MT Newswires"
- Click the + to add it
- Choose MT Newswires from the list of Not Connected connectors
- Click Connect
- Log in with your MT Newswires credentials
Tip: Open MT Newswires from the Connectors menu and set its access to 'Always allow' to make it much easier to use. Otherwise, you can approve each tool call as it is used.
MT Newswires is an official app in the ChatGPT app directory. A workspace admin enables it for the workspace, after which members can use it in chat.
- Navigate to the Apps menu within ChatGPT.
- Click Directory and search for "MT Newswires".
- Click Enable.
- Tip: Select Configure action confirmation, choose Allow read actions with no user confirmation, and click Save to make it much easier to use. Otherwise, you can approve each tool call as it is used.
- If prompted, choose Publish.
- Confirm MT Newswires appears in the Enabled tab.
Once enabled, members can use MT Newswires in any chat by @-mentioning it (for example, "@MT Newswires latest on the Fed") or by selecting + → More and choosing MT Newswires.
The MT Newswires connector can be added in Computer through Perplexity's connector directory.

- Click Connect
- Log in with your MT Newswires credentials

Q: What user data does this connector store?
A: The connector does not store any user-generated content. This includes: prompts, request payloads, response bodies, and security identifiers.
Q: What other, non-user data is stored?
A: For billing purposes, we retain:
- Billing ID - An opaque billing identifier that is used to associate requests with a client's usage tier.
- Timestamp - The time a request was made
- Your payment details are safe: we never see or store your credit card or bank details. All payments are handled securely by our partner Authorize.Net, which is PCI DSS compliant.
Q: Is any personally identifiable information (PII) collected?
A: We only collect what we need: basic account info (like your name and email).
Q: Is data encrypted in transit?
A: Yes. All communications between Anthropic/OpenAI through the connector is encrypted via industry standard TLS.
Data Retention and Storage
Q: How long is billing data retained for?
A: Usage and billing data is stored for at least 1 year to facilitate billing and auditing.
Q: User Control and rights
A: You may update your registration information at any time through by contacting Customer Support at customersupport@mtnewswires.com. You can also request that your registration information be deleted. Note that if we delete your account, we may maintain certain de-identified information about you for internal business purposes including research, analytics and reporting.
