(MT Newswires) -- Elon Musk's aerospace company SpaceX has informed certain investors that it anticipates generating approximately $8 billion in revenue for 2023, The Information said late Monday citing people familiar with the discussions.
The projected $8 billion revenue for 2023 compares with $4.6 billion in revenue generated in 2022 and $4 billion in 2021, according to PitchBook data. Last week, CNBC reported that SpaceX reached a $150 billion valuation following a secondary share sale, wherein existing investors traded up to $750 million shares at $81 per share.
The California-based spacecraft manufacturer also told investors it expects to generate approximately $3 billion in operating profits this year, though this estimation excludes expenses related to rocket and satellite construction, The Information said.
SpaceX did not immediately respond to queries from MT Newswires.
